December 2015 workouts

Here I am, ready to take on the end of the year and prepare myself for new beginnings. I am still at it with my lifestyle change. I am really beginning to see where my fuel and my form are changing the way I run, my stamina, and my perseverance.

Check out the difference from April 2015 to December 2015 in this photo:

This picture below is a testament to hard work and perseverance. It is the difference from the beginning of the year to December 2015.

Here are my workouts for December 2015:

December 2nd: I ran 1.51 miles in 15:05 on the treadmill (9:59 pace) then did an 11:03 HIIT workout

December 4th: I ran 2.01 miles in 19:47 (9:50 pace) then did a 12:41 HIIT workout

December 7th: I ran 2.01 miles in 18:59 on campus (9:25 pace!) then did a 12:31 HIIT workout

December 9th: I ran 3.10 miles in 28:44 (9:16 pace!) then did a 10:18 HIIT workout

December 12th: I did a 10:01 HIIT workout at home

December 14th: I ran 1.51 miles on the treadmill in 15:03 (9:58 pace) then did a 15:02 HIIT workout

December  17th: Today I decided to run on the treadmill like I was pacing outside...and guess what, I did great! I ran 1.51 miles in 13:40 (9:03 pace!) then did a 10:18 HIIT workout. I finally decided to stop telling myself I am a 10 min per mile runner and started running at a 6.7 pace or better every time I ran, not just outside!

December 19th: I did a 10:38 HIIT workout at home

December 21st: I ran 2.36 miles in 20:53 (8:51 pace!) Then did a 7:03 HIIT workout. Today was awesome! I finally broke that 9 minute barrier for more than 1 mile :)

December 23rd: I did a 10:47 HIIT workout

December 24th: I ran 1.15 miles on the treadmill in 9:31 (8:17 pace!) then did a 30:05 weight training workout

December 30th: I did a 17:46 weight training workout

December 31st: I ran 2.16 miles in 19:15 (8:55 pace) then did a 12:41 weight training workout

WOW, check me out, huh! I definitely finished this year strong. I am super proud of this year. I got married to the love of my life, changed my lifestyle habits, and have a new perspective on life! Here's to a brand new year and brand new goals! Until then...
