Ok, triathlon simulation 2, there are no excuses and I know what to expect! I did the same format as the week before, 2 mile run to simulate a swim, 16.5 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run with a transition between each.
Run 1: (Swim) 2 miles in 18:36 This was a great pace! Check out my route here.
Transition 1: 4:12
Bike: 16.50 miles in 58:20 (my best time yet for this distance!) Check out my route here.
Transition 2: 2:09
Run: 3.1 miles in 38:08 Not my best time, but my legs were in pain! I decided that I would walk for 0.10 then run for at least that distance or longer. I finally built up to running most of the way come mile 2. It took me some time to get there though. Check out my run here.
I completed this mock Triathlon in 1:55:04 (not counting transition, which totaled 6:21). So, total time was 2:01:25. I have got to work on my run! And, I will :)
This was a great 2 hour workout. I need to do these more often. The more your body becomes accustomed to a workout, the easier it will get!
